Shuffling along the ocean’s floor, Herbert, a young hermit crab, is in search of new items to add to his collection of shiny objects. In this 2D platformer, you play as Herbert, who must jump, hide, and carefully time his movements in order to avoid his predators and all around bullies: Carlos the Crab, Jan the Jellyfish, Otto the Octopus, and Uma the Sea Urchin (and their buddies). In each level, there are 3 shiny objects hidden, find them all and Herbert scuttles off into the kelp scot-free… hopefully. Don’t hurt him too much, he’s delicate.

Left Arrow /Right Arrow = Move

If I had to retake this course and start over, I'd likely just plan my time better. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the game turned out, there's just a lot of things I look at and wish could be better, art or otherwise. If I had organized my time better I could have added animations that are missing, more music, added a cutscene I wanted to have since the beginning, and fixed certain bugs in the code.

I'll likely continue working on it in the future, but probably not right away, just because there are a lot of other projects I want to work on. However, like I said before, there are a lot of things I wasn't able to add this time in making it, so I'll likely add those things in the future as well as make larger and more difficult levels and maybe a few other abilities for the player.

Process wise, this particular game has changed my approach to making games, but that's really because I haven't made a game this complete before. So, really in making this game I feel like I learned a lot that I can use in the future to make other games.
